: Bryan,

: And the hatch cover sill is made of what?

: Will this type of closure keep things entirely dry or is there a

Chris,

The magnet hatches keep 98% of the water out, but I would not say they are 100% water tite. It's actually very difficult to accomplish a totally dry hatch cover unless you do a factory hatch like VCP. That being said, at my last rolling practise I rolled about 100 times and had about a teaspoonfull of water in the rear hatch and none in the front. As for the lips and magnet method, go to this site to see how it's done, http://www.redfishkayak.com/livingston.htm You can also go to my site, I have a few tips, but there is a host of info on this site, these guys are all awesome! I have gotten everything I've learned from here. If you want to go to my site the link is www.woodformkayaks.webs.com
