: I notched out my forms to receive an extra strip to reinforce the
: sheerline, important when rounding over the deck-hull point
: noted on plans. My question is, is this attached to the forms? I
: wouldn't be able to pull these staples out at a later time due
: to the 4mm strips but I can see where it could be helpful to
: lock in place. Shouldn't be a big problem knocking this lose
: with a rubber mallet even with staples after the hull is epoxied
: and glassed .

For those that don't know he's talking about a BTD Black Pearl.
Instead of staples, I hold the extra strip to the forms with a dab of hotglue. You can also add the strip after the hull interior is sanded, just before glassing. Next build I'd like to try it like Ted Moore and glue the sheer clamp to the deck.
