I converted to Jay's method when building my third stripper and have found it much quicker, easier and neater than rolling out epoxy soaked tape, so I have used it on half a dozen kayaks now.

One improvement on the technique that a fellow builder suggested is to use a small, narrow roller on a stick instead of a brush on a stick. It moves the epoxy along the tape much more efficiently. So it becomes quicker and even easier.
