Strip: How much to pay for Unfinished Boat

Need some perspective on how much to pay for an unfinished boat...

I ran across an advertisement in Craigs List for a One Ocean Kayak "Cape Ann" that the owner can't finish. The hull and deck have been stripped and glassed but hatches and cockpit need to be cut out and completed, deck joined to hull and full sanding / varnishing. The advertiser wants $1000.

What's a fair price to take on this project assuming the workmanship is satisfactory?

Thanks for any advice you may have since the market for unfinished boats is rather slim... No "NADA Guide" for this baby...
