For closing the open end of dry-type bags, I'm using a 'C and tube' type closure.
PVC water pipe (1/2 and 3/4) provided the materials.

Be very careful cutting the 'slot' to make the 'C' . I used spots of hot-melt glue to attach the tube to the side of a 2x4. It keeps the cut straight and makes it a bit less nerve-wracking to cut on the table saw.
