I like this glass, and btw I can't remember the number of it unless I go look it up, but it's not super abasion resistant used in one layer, it is afterall only 3.2 ounce. If the boat's going to get fairly hard use you might want a heavier cloth and even if not I'd double the football on the bottom at minimum.
