I don't because it's a waste of time. It's easier to export the linesplan as a dxf and import it into a CAD program for formatting, and then email the dxf or pdf to a printer. It saves all the hand drawing and results in accurate stations and stems in about half the time or less if you don't need to format for public consumption.

If you really need the x/y coordinates for the knuckle lines at a given station, the only way I know to do it is export 2d dxf or the linesplan and measure in CAD. As far as I know Delftship won't give you what you want. The offsets, when plotted, will result in the stations. You just extend the line to get the knuckle at your chine, so you can draw hard-chined kayaks by hand if you want. I wouldn't waste my time, because printing is easier and faster and cheap.

As far as a cheap CAD, QCAD, while flawed in ways, gets the job done. I think I paid $30 for it.
