Thanks, it is some tiger maple that I bought about 11 years ago. I made about twenty hand mirrors that I gave away as Christmas gifts a few years back. I still had the majority of it left.

Then I started looking at some of the photos on this website. I was wondering what I could do to dress the boat up a touch, without going Rococo. After much consideration, I dug the maple out of the deep recesses of my wood rack. I put the sealer coat of epoxy on the deck this morning and OMG did that maple "pop".
