I have several hundred feet of fencing around my property which I have to keep in good condition because of the pool. So every year I buy a dozen or two planks for it. Dirt cheap slash cut WRC many of which can be sliced up into vertical grain cedar strips. So I put the really good ones by for the next boat and use the crummy ones on the fence. They're only 6 feet long, so I'm becoming quite expert at scarfing . . .
