Epoxy: Tack cloth - yes/no?

Hello forum members,
I have read everything I can find on epoxy and varnish application after sanding clean-up before application of second - third etc coats.
Some say do not use tack cloth prior to the applications because it leaves a chemical residue and causes the appearance to appear foggy.
Some recommend using the tack cloth to remove all the fine sanding dust from the scratches caused by sanding with 220 grit/320grit.

I have been using the blue shop towels dry to rub off all sanding residue after vacuuming the surface, which does an excellent clean-up job for the next coat.
I would like the forum members opinion and input on this procedure. I am wondering if I am using the best technique of clean-up or is
the tack cloth the way to go.

Thank you. Douglas
