Thanks, Mike. I'll be certain to post a trip report in March next year. I am sure I am gonna attract a lot of attention as I drive to Vancouver Island during the middle of Winter with two kayaks on the racks. Most folks have skis and sleds and then there's me. Linda has decided to fly to Vancouver because she hates winter driving and especially winter driving through the mountains. For me, the worse the weather, the happier I am. Mom will tag along with me...she is braver. Linda worries too much...really didn't help her nerves last year when that big rock crashed through the sunroof of my car while we were driving home from Vancouver. Luckily, the sun shade was closed when it happened: Linda had just closed it one minute before the rock struck the car. Pretty good timing if you ask me but still hard on Linda's nerves.
