For me, leak detection was easy a few years back...my ass was getting wet. Had a major hull leak under the seat for reasons which I won't mention now. I duct taped the problem and paddled the entire summer away until I felt it was time to do the real repair work. That tape lasted 3-months...gotta love the stuff...never paddle without it.
