Ok, little picture, dinghy bailer. It's a retractable drain, works by venturi effect, speed creates a vacuum in the bailer and sucks water out of the bilge, once you're moving, if you're not it works really well in reverse, fills the boat, thus it can be retracted and locked so that doesn't happen.

They are very effective, will suck 5 gallons of water out of the bilge of my Cobra in about 10 seconds. Of course if you forget to close it it'll fill the boat just as fast ;)

Would work just as well with a S&G or stripper but you'd have to take the skirt off to use it. Probably a better idea than playing around with an electric pump.
