: I launched the Siskiwit Bay 165 yesterday. It came in at 35 pounds,
: with float bags, Snap Dragon back band, Keepers foot braces and
: Happy Bottom seat. I wish I had used lighter (and more rigid)
: cedar, over the radiata pine.

Hi,

Thanks for providing all the information and pictures of your kayak which looks great.

I am also interested in building this kayak using the SOF method. I am a novice builder but I have plenty of time and determination and there are other SOF builders in my area.

Did you build it from the free plans provided at the PaddlingLight site? Would it be helpful if I bought the $30 package which includes Electronic Nestings or alternatively buying the full size printed plans.
