Not something I would like to do, I must admit. I suspect body shape has little to do with drowning and a lot to do with lack of preparation and panicking. I tested my PFDs and found some supported me face down in the water unless I worked on keeping myself upright. Not a real help, and that's what started me looking into floating techniques. Needless to say those PFDs are now in landfill. If you haven't tested your PFD to see if it will roll you over into a position where you can breath while you are pretending to be unconscious, you're taking a lot on faith . . .
