I agree with the earlier replies that it is too early for major surgery on this kayak.

Let one or two experienced paddlers try the boat, and see what they think.

Adding a little more fixed skeg to the stern, or taking a slight bit of the keel OFF the bow would probably help eliminate the broaching effect.
