Skin-on-Frame: Laminated Coaming with WRC

Hey everyone,
Had been off to NW GA and had plenty time to think and ponder the next few steps of the Yost SeaTour build. I have read about laminating a coaming, and Kudzu's technique instructional is very handy.

Using the Yost 16x30 inside dimensions, can I build one with some leftover WRC I have on hand? I got a 16'x.75"x1.5" and another 16'x.75"x1" that I can have ripped somewhere into 1/8" strips.

Most suggest the coaming be about 3/8" wide and 1.5" deep with a lip that I am not sure what dimensions it should be. Can it be only 1" deep as suggested (by Brian Nystrom???) in a thread somewhere ( I wanna roll on this thing)?

Oh and uuhhh... if the coaming is sewn in, how then does the fabric around the coaming get coated later on???
Thanks as always.
