Folks
Simply brilliant ideas and suggestions and I thank you all.

By the way this is not a stripper unfortunately. It's a two seater sea kayak - kinda strange setup has a rear bulkhead but no hatches and no front bulkhead - also has understern rudder controlled from the front seat which I'd never seen before (not anymore).
In existing configuration it's a bit scary if you capsized at sea - you'd spend a lot of time trying to get the water out. I'm installing hatches deck lines etc to make it more suitable for fast touring. For me bulkhead is a safety must and has the benefit of fwd storage once done.
