: Linda is your typical art-inclined person, or like any good
: craftsperson: she sees only her mistakes and laments that they
: can't be fixed. I laugh when she talks like that and suggest
: that if anyone looks too closely, which no one will, they will
: have a tough time seeing her mistakes. I installed the coaming
: today...gonna install the brass keels tomorrow then start the
: fill coats. I can't wait to see that art work under a fine
: finish. I plan on creating the best finished look I have ever
: produced. I have generally always been rushed to do it
: perfectly. I doubt I will reach perfection but I think close is
: good enough.

Btw Robert, tell her the one thing that builders seem to forget. You and she looks at the boat close up on the building jig, everyone else will look at the boat sitting on the ground while they are standing up next to it. The 5' minimum distance difference hides a million mistakes :)

Heck I can't see my mistakes when I'm standing next to the boat and I know where to look.

On the water anyone will see less, they may be closer but it's a moving target they are looking at.
