: I am hoping we can launch on July 01 (Canada Day). It's a long
: weekend and I figure on launching at Islet Lake, my fav day
: paddle locale. I am thinking of a picnic as well, so odds are
: there'll be quite a crowd along...perhaps 15-20 family members
: and 4 kayaks to play with. The one challenge I will have is that
: I am the most experienced paddler, Linda is the next (fairly
: green), Keith after that (very green) and Austin (Keith's son),
: no experience at all but has his first kayak (Pelican tub). If
: the weather is good, we launch, if there is any wind or
: disturbance, no launch for the greenies. I can easily rescue one
: paddler (have done that before) but I don't think my clones will
: be ready to come along to help if there are more bailers than
: yours truely can manage at once. I am looking very forward to
: this launch...Linda's kayak is my best work yet for a S&G
: kit and I am very proud of her wood burning talent. I just know
: we are gonna have a lot of other folks hanging around eating our
: dogs and asking wooden boat questions.
