I am hoping we can launch on July 01 (Canada Day). It's a long weekend and I figure on launching at Islet Lake, my fav day paddle locale. I am thinking of a picnic as well, so odds are there'll be quite a crowd along...perhaps 15-20 family members and 4 kayaks to play with. The one challenge I will have is that I am the most experienced paddler, Linda is the next (fairly green), Keith after that (very green) and Austin (Keith's son), no experience at all but has his first kayak (Pelican tub). If the weather is good, we launch, if there is any wind or disturbance, no launch for the greenies. I can easily rescue one paddler (have done that before) but I don't think my clones will be ready to come along to help if there are more bailers than yours truely can manage at once. I am looking very forward to this launch...Linda's kayak is my best work yet for a S&G kit and I am very proud of her wood burning talent. I just know we are gonna have a lot of other folks hanging around eating our dogs and asking wooden boat questions.
