: Hey Craig,
: Here's my Mystery converted to a surfski. It's absolutely fabulous
: and no worries at all in rough weather.
: It's significantly more stable than my other ski which is slightly
: more stable than a V10.
: At 20 feet it's a good long distance boat.

Great stuff Paul.
Will you be fitting a tiller like your other boat? or will you go with a standard surfski gas pedal style?
What type of rudder will you use? With next to no rocker, could i suggest an elliptical surf rudder, 7-9". THINK has an excellent range. I fitted a 9" Epic to my Stellar and love the results. Huge improvement in responsiveness.
I'm assuming the Mystery sheer line was a bit low. Does your cockpit sit above the deckline? Would love a side on profile shot.

You've given me a bit to think about as I have recently received my Pax 20 plans. Was thinking about raising the sheer line by a couple of inches at least, much like Bjorn T did to his sea racer hull for the Fusion ski. Maybe i could build the standard Pax hull, fit the Red7 cockpit and somehow make a transition piece from cockpit to sheer. I don't mind a wet ride as cold temps are not an issue but I want to keep as much water out of the fotwell as possible for weight reasons.
