Skin-on-Frame: Coaming

Hey Everyone... Its been a year since I was on here... Im so tickled to see this forum is still so active!!!! Yay!

Ok... here's my question.
I am skinning the kayak with a cotton canvas.... I have a coaming base plate epoxied to the frame... and well... now what?

I guess I was just going to pull the skin tight around the coaming base plate and maybe staple it to the underneath... then place the coaming plate and coaming lip on next and screw it down in place. But uh.... thats not quite right is it? Am I missing something here?

Warm Smiles,
~Heather

~Building two kayaks this summer. Finishing up the Sea Pup for my daughter I started last year... and just started the Sea Bee multichine for a spare boat, just in case I find someone to go along with us on occasion.
