: I am building my very first strip boat, a petrel. With help from
: you guys and other research, all has gone well. Im all stipped
: up and have glassed the outside of hull and deck. I glassed the
: hull first and added 1 fill coat. I then pulled the hull off the
: forms and glassed the deck. meanwhile the hull curled up so
: tight I cant get it back on the form without cracking the
: strips. I'm sure that after the inside is glassed the cracks
: wont be a problem, but i dont know if I'll ever get the seam
: aligned with the deck unless I can fix the problem before It's
: glassed. Has anyone experienced this and what can I do?

Look back a few weeks and you will find Rob Macks gave some good advice in such a situation. Wet the hull thoroughly on the inside several times until the wood has regained the moisture it has lost since glassing it. It will expand again and it will fit.
