Wow! What a difference a few days can make. After really struggling with my Sea Cruiser the first time out, I decided to paddle my son's 14 foot Auk two days ago, and my wife's Chuckanut yesterday. Today I decided to try the Sea Cruiser again, and had NO PROBLEMS!!!! I couldn't believe how comfortable I felt in the boat today and how frustrated I was the last time I tried it. Amazing what just a little time in a kayak will do. I'm SOOOOO HAPPY my comfort level with this boat turned around so quickly. I was frustrated enough before tonights paddle that I was going to start another boat build so I'd have something to paddle. What a great night!

: Weight is obviously an issue, but having a skirt will keep the
: water out of the cockpit and let you paddle it. Getting water on
: the skirt is no biggy.

: You will need to learn to wet exit with a skirt, good idea to take
: lessons if you're new to this. Every kayak shop I've ever seen
: offers lessons.
