: In the vane of what Allan said, my thought was that I would
: probably be alright with one of the greenland boats as being
: smaller than the designed paddler would likely yield greater
: stability for me. The sea rover matches capacity matches my
: weight + boat weight expectations the closest, if I can fit into
: it (which is why I mentioned the anthropomorphic measurements).
: I also looked at the Sea Tour 15-R or Sea Bee, because they're
: less complicated for a first build.

: P.S. - Is there a way to edit a post, rather than typing a reply to
: yourself? Thanks all.

The Sea Rover is a rolling boat, means it's easy to roll, probably not the best choice coming from a 26" wide kayak background it's also only 18" beam. Tom's weights are generally the maximum weight, on the Sea Rover for example it's designed for a maximum weight of 180 lbs., that's not the ideal weight by any means.

Generally the longer boats are easier to build than the shorter ones, the bends are easier and only costs very slightly more too.

No one else can pick your ideal boat, just can sorta guide you with your choices :)
