: I used a two inch chip brush to spread the epoxy from the shear up.
: I started by doing it from the keel down but that was a mess.
: If...sorry when I do it again I will probably roll it on and
: squeegee it out. As for pot life I was mixing 9 oz cups and they
: were on the boat far before I was worried with lots of squeegee
: time but if I had to put a time to a pot I would say 20 minutes
: in the cup but much longer on the boat once it was spread
: around. Putting it on hot wetted the 2 layers of 3.2 right quick
: and was so easy to spread with no foaming. I got the idea from
: nicks book where he shows a pic of his epoxy in front of a light
: bulb to warm it before he starts, difference is I had an
: 18" two light radiant heat thing so I used that and it got
: he epoxy really hot but at about 2 feet away for about an hour
: it was just like water.

: In the top left of this pic you can see the heat lamp.

I've done the heat lamp before, but now I just fill up a tub with hot water and set my gallon Raka jugs in it for a while before I start. I also crank the heat up an hour or so before I start, the drop it to 60 when I start working to get the temp drop while the epoxy cures.
