:You probably built it using cedar. Pine is heavier so I didn't mind donating it. I have a perfect 8' cedar 2x4 I bought years ago for $10 CAD. I plan on whittling it down some time this year. I might even fancy it up by slicing it into strips and alternating ash or pine to make it look nice. Sometimes Home Depot here gets these cedar fencing boards that are clear and free of knots...$10 is a great deal when it happens. I will be hunting for said boards fairly soon...got a lot of wood working to do and now that Linda gave me the Dewalt planer for xmas, smoothing them will be a piece of cake.
