Strip: Schooner Varnish thinner

I'm just a day or so away from varnishing my first build and need some advise. First, what's the best solvent/cleaner for wiping down the boat before the first coat of varnish and for cleaning the sanding dust off between coats? Lacquer thinner? Mineral Spirits? Denatured alcohol? I've tried them all during the epoxy sanding and couldn't tell much difference besides the odors.
There, I prefer the alcohol.

Also, I bought a qt. of Schooner from CLC. The can strongly encourages using #333 thinner. Is this proprietary to Interlux?
Can I get by with some high quality turpentine or mineral spirits? I can't even find this thinner on the CLC site and they haven't answered my e-mail as yet. Maybe I don't even need thinner?

Thanks
Ian
