: I have nothing but disdain for WR-LPU. I had a couple of bad
: experiences. Don't get me started on it...
: I now have my strippers sprayed with automotive clearcoat. I'm not
: equipped for spraying so I have a local body shop do it. The
: price is very reasonable for the quality.
: If you don;t mind brushing (or roll and tripping) your finish
: consider Interlux Perfection Varnish. It's a two-component
: urethane and is crystal clear. Each coat cures for recoating in
: about 8 hours. I used to finish a kayak in three days: two coats
: on the deck, three on the hull. Good for years of wear and tear.

Dan- Would you have a ballpark figure for a reasonable cost for the automotive clear coat at a repair shop? Also....how many coats?
