Strip: Great Auk bow form

I'm working on my first build, a Great Auk. I lofted the offsets, and I'm happy with the resulting forms; I'm glad I tackled this, and didn't find it all that difficult, thanks to some help on this forum from Paul Jacobsen and others. I'm a bit stumped, though, as I'm setting the forms on the strongback. The book is not clear on whether the top of the bow form needs to be beveled, like the front of the bow form (I'm planning on an internal stem). Anybody with a Great Auk build under their belt that could answer this?
Thanks
Sean.
