I've finally cleared enough space in the garage after the move to be able to start working on the Night Heron. I decided to experiment with the colors this time (see attached picture) since I already have 2 wood-colored kayaks.

Eventually, the Night Heron will be my main kayak for paddling in the PNW, so I'll be adding VCP hatches and a skeg to it. Since I have 2 kids, no multi-day trips for a while, so the low cargo area is perfect for my needs.

I'll be posting updates as soon as major events happen and asking questions as I stumble upon (it's been almost 8 yrs since we built the Arctic Terns so I need to refresh my kayak building memory!).
