S&G: foam pillar back support

Good morning everyone,

I Hope all is well.

After my Creature comfort seat thread It looks like the best backband solution for my merganser is nothing at all , or perhaps a pemanent foam backpad.

since I tend to loiter and nature watch or coast with river current I like the idea of the foam pillar support.

the distance from my stearn bulkhead to my coaming is 4" the very back of My seat pad is at the 6" mark.

1) MAKE PILLAR 5" DEEP (1" clearing of coaming) I can always add foam to bring it out to 6"+

2) not sure how wide pillar should be? Just wide enough to fit in small of back? slightly concave? I saw the pic on my thread but need a bit more info

many thanks

"John"
