Hi Jim, I also used the 3.2 from thayercraft and had no problem with getting it to conform to the end of the boat except the very tip. All I did was use a spring clamp on the end to help drag it down so it was tight. If the end doesn't want to stay tight to the boat I just taped the spring clamp to the stand holding the boat.
