I don't know anything about how to build staple-less. I use staples, and have zero desire to not use them. I love the neat little rows of holes in the finished product, and consider them a substantial part of the classic wooden boat look I'm going for. I think everybody should be packin' heat in the shop.

Yes, that's right - I'm a redneck Texan kayak builder. And you can have my pneumatic staple gun when you pry my cold, dead, hands, blah, blah, blah.....
