found the NY Times story

: There was an article a few weeks ago on AOL's news pages about
: boatbuilding tools being found on an island.

Found it at the New york Times site. it was more than a few weeks old!

The island involved is Crete, and the tools they found were estimated at 130,000 years old.

Oldest actual boat ever found apparently is about 5000 years old and from Egypt.
