Let me say up front I sell the Select Design (formerly Sea Dogs) footrests. But, the reason I sell them is because I love them and use them in all my boats. What I like best is that they are simple to adjust while in the boat. Never have jammed on me. I got some mud in them and they got a little sticky but a quick rinse with a garden hose and there good again. I find them be really sturdy but if you going to be surfing big waves or something extreme they might not up to that. Otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I have a set of Yakima's or copies of and while they are very well built, I find them nearly impossible to adjust once in the boat. Not that they are hard to adjust, just hard to adjust with your feet. They jammed with mud but a quick rinse and they were free again.
