: I have a question for those who have made flush deck fittings
: following the method of G. Maroske and Dan (CSFW) on his
: "Nereida". I did them on my last boat want to put on
: my current build. I think they look nice and are great when
: it’s time to re-varnish but I am wondering if they could be
: made lighter. I’m wondering about using the sleeves sold by
: places like Soller Composites instead of the usual chopped up
: ‘glass and cloth. Has anyone tried this? Any idea on whether
: the sleeve could bend that tightly without crinkling?

: Thanks

: Ric

Depending on the size of the sleeve used, should be no problem at all I'd think it's very flexible. I'd have to try it. Not real sure where my roll of sleeve is though ;) I'll go look.
