: Hello..
: I am going to be choosing either the Laughing Loon - Twin Star
: tandem baidarka or the One Ocean Kayak - Cape Ann Double. Ive
: never built a strip kayak before so this will be quite the
: journey and I am looking forward to it..I am just wondering if
: any of you have had experiences either bad or good with these
: plans from these two builders. Looking mostly for lake use with
: some but infrequent use in the bay. (Washington State) I have
: provided links to both designs below..Thanks..

I am most of the way through building a Cape Ann Double. I have found the plans very easy to follow and support from the designer excellent on the few occasions I've needed to ask him something. There is also a helpful web-site available to plan purchasers. Obviously you need a LOT more space in which to build it and it is a beast to shift around until you get it off the forms. It seems to be taking forever compared to building a single but what can you expect, it's a double. i was able to make my singles in the basement, look here to see where I had to start the double and still be able to get it out of the house: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9239236@N05/
