Material: How can I color the sheer panel and coaming...

Towit, I meant to use cherry wood color analine dye to color up the sheer panels and coaming on Linda's Solace 16 EX. Problem is that I was a little too quick to join the panels and the epoxy has soaked very nicely into the wood around the joints. I know that if I attempt to dye the wood after sanding away the epoxy around the joint, the dye color will not be uniform around the joints compared to the rest of the panels. Is there a pigment that I can put into the epoxy that will match the color of cherry wood or something close that is darker? I have already broken the news to Linda so I am kind of off the hook in that regard but only because I told her that I would be able to give her something exactly the same or very close. I did not mention the fact that she wouldn't see the wood grain after I was done...I will do that later, if and only if, she notices. You are all invited to my funeral if she doesn't like the final look. I prefer daisies.
