That's the biggest problem Dave, the edge you're trying to glue to is very thin, just not much area to bond to.

The sectional kayaks I've seen, only a couple, seem to have a radius on those edges, you can tell there is something different about them looking at them from a distance, but it's not real obvious. Up close you can obviously see it.
