: Hi,

: I'm waiting for my WRC to arrive next week, but in the mean time i
: thought i could install the internal forms on my Hybrid Night
: Heron. I've loosely held a few of the forms in place and was
: looking for some advice from anyone whom has done this already.
: I've noticed that some of the forms fit a bit too tight and
: cause the hull sides to form straight lines between forms.
: Should i just install them in the exact locations the plans call
: for, or shift them a bit to keep everything fair? Any other
: words of wisdom would be great as well!

: Thanks,

Hi Damian,

I built a hybrid Night Heron myself and use it as my favorite boat. You are going to love it.

Sounds like your hull is a little narrower than it was supposed to be and since you have already glassed the hull you can't make any changes to it's shape. It won't matter in the long run and it is only important to keep fair curves at this point. If you move the forms it will show up on the deck when you finish stripping. With that in mind I recommend that you remove a small amount of material from each side of the forms that are tight so that the forms will slide into their respective positions in the hull. Make sure the alignment marks are visible so that you can keep each form at the correct height.

Good luck,

Kyle T.
