: Hi Scott,

: I too am planning on building one, SS, have the plans on the dining
: room table. If I may ask, how tall are you and what's your shoe
: size? This thing looks tiny inside, of course the Disko Bay did
: too ;)

Hi, Bill

Thanks for all your posts on the board. I make it a point not to miss a one; your experience and good sense always come through, and I always seem to learn something.

To the question: the SS fits me fine, at 5'9" and 165#. It's smallish inside, and I find my size 10.5-11 shoes need a few degrees of tilt, but that happens naturally, anyway. I use minicell attached to the forward bulkhead for footpegs, which keeps things clean inside. Joe Greenley seat has been excellent for this boat. The deck is low, but not so much so as to force straight legs. For comparison, my first kayak, a Pygmy Coho, feels like the box the SS came in. Have fun with the build!
