From what I understand, I don't use magnets, they are buried all the way so they are flush. Someone just mentioned that they use a forster bit to drill the initial hole then another the same size with the point ground off to make the hole flat on the bottom without puncturing the top of the hatch. They need to be glassed into place or they'll rust.
