One other difference between PVA and epoxy, in my experience, is that epoxy does better on end grain than PVA does. It seems to me that endgrain PVA joints often starve themselves, because they require significant clamping pressure, and they have limited open time - you are pretty much obliged to clamp them while the glue is still soaking into the end grain. OTOH with epoxy, you can let the glue soak into the end grain until it stops doing so, add a bit more, and then clamp lightly. On still one more hand, as long as your joints hold together until everything is overlain by glass and epoxy, they should be good enough.

Nonetheless, I would choose epoxy on end grain joints, especially any that may not be substantially reinforced with glass.
