: The wood table and metal table rarely are in plane so ya, you have to lift up the rip fence and slide it onto metal. Not that this will help but I stole a power feed off a shaper and bolted it to our table saw at work; Fortunately it was pre-bored. What a joy! Absolute full control, safe and fast.
I also clamped the power feed to a router table to bead and cove.
