While reading my new issue from the EAA (experimental aircraft association) I saw a reader imput about epoxy glueing that may have bearing on your glue failures and anyway is good info here. While mixing epoxy one has to use care to not introduce air into the mixture by stirring too fast, if that happens you can reduce the stength of the epoxy glued joint by up to around 30%. Could be the reason your joints failed.
