: Nathan,

: I've had good luck with the Feathercraft rudder that I installed on my Great
: Auk when I built a SailRig for it. I had originally purchased the
: SmartTrack system but exchanged it for the Feathercraft when I realized
: that the SmartTrack would have to be mounted too low on the stern of my
: kayak. Like you, I was also concerned that it would act as a sail when not
: in the water. I did install the SmartTrack foot pedals, and they work fine
: after several adjustments. But if I were to do it again, I would go with a
: set of Yakimas - fewer moving parts, fewer adjustments, and less money.

: Good luck, Mike B.

Thanks Mike. I would love to hear if anyone else can recommend a rudder that would fit and work well on a Guillemot kayak? I started looking a bit deeper and there is an overwhelming list of possibilities.
Thanks,
