I worked for a small startup a few years back. We ordered a fancy white board that you could make copies off of. The first one arrived with obvious damage and boot prints all over the side of the box (in exactly the locations where the damage occurred). Sent it back. Second one arrived with obvious damage and boot prints all over the box. It became obvious that no matter what, the shipping company workers were going to lay the box flat (despite the THIS END UP and DO NOT LAY FLAT markings) and step on it to load other things. Gave up and went with a different product. And you wonder why insurance is so expensive . . .
