Hi,
I used bungee cord with a pice of wire bent into a V with the two ends bent over into hooks. I would hook them over the strip (I was stripping bead up) and pull them down with the bungee cord. I was going stapleless and did two strips. one on either side at a time. So the bungee cord went under the strongback, or under the boat, whichever worked better, through the two V's and then was clamped off.
